AWS held this Wednesday ‘AWS Madrid Summit’, the company’s largest event on ‘cloud’ technology in the country, a day that hosts more than one hundred technical sessions, inspirational talks and immersive activities led by large companies, SMEs and ‘startups’, collaborating partners and public institutions.

Specifically, Curic has pointed out that “in order to unlock the full potential of this technology, it is necessary to promote innovation and the establishment of a regulatory framework, as well as the democratization of access to AI for all types of organizations and people, and the collaboration of private companies and public institutions to help reduce the gap in digital skills.”

Likewise, during the Summit, representatives of leading companies in Spain, such as Sanitas and Adevinta, participated. The latter has presented its case of migration to the AWS cloud, where they are working on generative AI projects to offer a better experience to users who visit their online sites, and also to their employees, so that they can automate more administrative tasks. and focus on more dynamic or creative activities.

For its part, Sanitas has explained how they use AWS technology to automate medical appointments through their digital consultation applications with the aim of streamlining consultations in their own and affiliated centers.

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY IN ALL INDUSTRIES

Attendees to the event have also been able to delve deeper into the world of technology and discover the latest trends and applications in the field of AI and machine learning in sectors such as energy, entertainment, banking, automotive and health, among others.

Among some of the demonstrations that have been presented are: digital avatar and hologram systems that generate personalized images for retail stores or corporate events, dynamic simulations with drones for inventory management in logistics warehouses, manageable mechanical arms of remote for application in critical or dangerous environments (mining, chemical, military, aerospace) and even intelligent safety helmets that monitor brain activity non-invasively, to predict and react to risk situations.

New this year, sustainability and inclusion have included personalized spaces and activities, where technology has been put at the service of society. In this sense, all content has been adapted for attendees with reduced visibility through AWS technology and the company Navilens, and simultaneous translation in sign language has been included.
