According to what they announced, from June 26 of this year, the company will begin to use personal data of userscollected since 2007, to train your Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

The decision of the company run by Mark Zuckerberg caused a wave of criticism and legal actions across the continent, with privacy organizations and users concerned about the implications of this change.

In such a way that the Austrian privacy defense organization Noyb (None Of Your Business), was one of the most critical voices against the company and after the announcement, they filed formal complaints with the data protection authorities of 11 European countries: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland and Spain.

According to the claim, with the decision that will come into force on the 26th of this month, Meta would violate European data protection regulations (GDPR), by not requesting explicit consent from users for the use of their data.
