Emirates announced that it is looking for an airport services supervisor, who is responsible for guaranteeing timely and efficient service to passengers, based on the policies, standards and commercial procedures of the airline.

Among the functions, the person must supervise, coordinate and “ensure that all relevant areas of operations are fully covered“, including:

• Analyze anticipated operational issues such as overbooking, adverse weather, delays, flight cancellations, crew flight time limitations, etc.
• Take corrective and proactive measures in accordance with relevant procedures to minimize disruption to customers.
• Ensure that the handling agent, caterer and other service providers are fully informed of Emirates requirements for the day’s operation.
• Ensure all post-flight activity is completed correctly to protect company revenue and facilitate handling of customers and dead cargo at stations and route destinations.
• Respond to queries, complaints and claims in an efficient and timely manner in order to restore passenger confidence.
• Perform various administrative functions and other duties as directed from time to time by the Airport Services Manager or Airport Services Officer.
• Process all baggage claims and control expenditures on damaged baggage replacements and lost baggage claims according to applicable procedures and in a timely manner.
• Provide support and cover the Emirates ticket counter, where applicable, and perform ticketing/reservation duties to ensure seamless service to customers.
• Support, train and develop airport service agents and other relevant staff to ensure they are fully informed of operational requirements and provide the required levels of Customer service.
