Mark Zuckerberg He had his birthday in the middle of last month. For this reason, the magnate gave himself a luxurious yachtvalued at more than 330 million dollars, something like 304 billion Chilean pesos.

The boat, known as “Launchpad”was built by Feadship, a Dutch company renowned in the construction of luxury ships since 1949.

The Launchpad was initially commissioned by Russian oligarch Vladimir Olegovich Potanin. However, it was confiscated by the Dutch authorities due to sanctions related to the war in Ukraine and, after an auction, it passed into the hands of Zuckerberg.

The 124 meter long yacht (Length from bow to stern), stands out for the cost of its annual maintenance: 28 million dollars (almost 26 billion Chilean pesos)in addition to its incomparable luxuries.

It can accommodate up to 24 guests and has several common areas, such as a helipad, a cinema, jacuzzi, solarium, beauty center, direct access to the water and space for jet skis. It also has a specialized crew of 48 people.

Zuckerberg, in fact, has another smaller yacht: the “Wingman”, 67 meters long and valued at about 30 million dollars (approximately 27 billion Chilean pesos). This yacht, now used as a “support vessel”, is equipped with slides, a small submarine and flyboards.

Launchpad is currently installed on Palma de MallorcaHowever, Zuckerberg is not there yet. He is expected to soon join his wife, Priscilla Chan, and his three daughters, Máxima, August and Aurelia, on the island.

In addition to the yacht, Zuckerberg has embarked on another project to celebrate his 40th birthday. On the island of Kauai, Hawaii, where he acquired land for 150 million dollars ten years ago, is developing a ecological resort.

According to Wired magazine, this complex will include two mansions of more than 5,000 m², several smaller residential buildings and an underground bunker to store supplies for several months.
