The new building Panattoni Park Arasurwill have 21,000 square meters of gross leasable area (SBA), which will expand the total built area of ARASUR to 106,000 square metersThe new warehouse will obtain the BREEAM ‘Very Good’ level sustainable construction certification, guaranteeing the building’s energy efficiency and compliance with high sustainability standards linked to the environment and people.
This new warehouse, which can be subdivided to accommodate up to five tenants and will have a fire load for Medium Risk 5 activities, is scheduled to begin development in the fourth quarter of 2024. In addition, technical improvements will be made to the five existing warehouses, including the Installation of chargers for electric vehicle fleets and the pursuit of BREEAM “in use” sustainable construction certification for them.
The strategic location of the industrial estate offers direct access to the main road network, port and airport. In 2021, an intermodal station or ‘dry port’ was created that connects ARASUR with the Port of Bilbao, facilitating the unloading of goods from the port and their subsequent distribution by road. The terminal, with a surface area of 63,440 square metres, has two tracks for the reception and dispatch of trains and two others for loading and unloading. This infrastructure, together with the fenced enclosure and the only controlled access, ensures a reliable and efficient environment for logistics operations.
