It has been on the same corner for 30 years and became part of an important network in the 2000s.

After 30 years of experience on the same corner, the service station Mitre and Zeballos looking to change ownership. The owner of the CNG pump, one of the last of its kind in the center of Rosario, put the goodwill up for sale and offers the business in operation on internet portals.

Although it emerged under another banner, the station had its heyday in the 2000s when it integrated the brand’s network Eg3a company that came to compete with the leader YPF and multinationals Shell and Esso. Indeed, Eg3 managed to establish itself in the market with 10% of total sales and some 600 service stations with the company’s brand and image. In Rosario it controlled several positions, including one on the corner of Rioja and Italia and, of course, the aforementioned one on Mitre and Zeballos.

With the departure of Eg3, the station in the macrocenter began to work under a “white flag”; that is, without a brand, and it has remained that way until today. “At first it worked under the colors of Eg3, but then it did not have a brand again. It has the peculiarity that it never sold liquid fuel, only CNG. With the situation we are going through today, it is very difficult to value a service station and in the case of CNG, you have to take into account the maintenance of the compressors, which is the most valuable thing,” Daniel Giribone, member of the board of directors of the Chamber of Service Stations of Rosario (Cesgar), described to Punto biz.

According to the notice published on the Zonaprop portal, the owner offers the goodwill of the operating service station for sale. The property has two compressors, three pumps with six charging hoses, a snack bar, office and storage area. The “white” station has two floors, distributed over a total of 1,200 m2 of surface and six garages.

The former Eg3 is one of the few service stations dedicated to the sale of CNG that remain in the center of Rosario and its “confectionery shop” is still, after three decades of history, an obligatory stop for taxis and remises that travel through the city.
