If there is a carpet where everything is allowed, it is at the Met Gala. Just look at how a few moments ago they appeared there Doja Cat with a “wet towel” dress and the former tennis player Serena Williams with a golden model that, for social networks, seemed made of chocolate paper.

Doja Cat got out of the shower and went to the MET
The singer left her hotel in New York wrapped in a minimal towel and another knotted on the heada detail that drove the paparazzi who were waiting for her at the door crazy.

But to step on the champagne carpet of the Met Gala 2024 he arrived with a completely wet white dressachieved by the towel effect with which he left his hotel.

Serena Williams with chocolate paper?
Doja Cat was not the only one who caused a sensation and made her wet look viral in moments. The former tennis player Serena Williamsa fashion fan and great friend of Anna Wintour, director of Vogue and organizer of the annual Met gala dedicated to the fashion world, appeared with a golden dress made of a shiny fabric with a draped effect and a large train. The networks, never slow or lazy, criticized her saying that her model looked like it was made of chocolate paper.

Tyla, in an hourglass dress
For her debut at the big fashion event, South African singer Tyla took the concept of time as the main element and turned to the French firm Balmain to give life to one of the most popular bets of the night: the luxury brand’s team designed a dress made of sandas a nod to hourglasses.

Olivier Rousteing, brand creative director, particularly focused on the idea of the ephemerality of Tyla’s dress. “The inspiration behind this creation came from a desire to redefine boundaries and transform a transitory material into a timeless masterpiece,” he told Vogue.
The artist, who during her arrival was helped by several assistants to avoid stepping on her delicate dress, also expressed his enthusiasm for the particular design. “We were looking to do something creative, something completely different for my first Met Gala. So when Balmain showed me the idea and the sketch, I knew it was perfect,” he confessed.
