Maribel Guardia and the delicate process she goes through in the worst stage of her grief

A little over a year after the death of José Julián Figueroa, Maribel Guardia is going through what she considers the worst stage of her grief. Every time she speaks to the press she comments that she cannot assimilate his absence, and in the midst of this process she has not been able to accept the suggestion of the priest José de Jesús Aguilar to get rid of the ashes of her son.

During the month prior to the death anniversary of José Julián and with the arrival of the exact date of that commemoration (April 9), Guardia declared that he was living, and is living, in the most critical period of mourning that overwhelms his being. The pain increases in this month of May because on the 29th his son would be turning 29 years old.

“I don’t know what people who don’t believe in a supreme being do, because it’s what helps me get out of pain and get out of bed. This is an everyday battle. I’m in the worst moment of grief and “I help myself every day, I try very hard to continue,” He opened up to reporters when he visited La Casa del Actor.

Boarded at the Mexico City International Airport, the actress expanded her feelings by sharing that staying active is a struggle with herself: “It is a pain that I will have all my life. I have to learn to live with it. There are days when I sink and I don’t want to do anything. I have to work on it all the time, I try to rescue myself. “I ask God to help me move forward because it is very difficult.”

Precisely because she is Catholic, she finds spiritual strength in prayer and the rites of that religion, such as mass, or the fulfillment of the act of confession. In addition, He goes to the ecclesiastical representatives to talk and nourish his faith from that dialogue.

This is what he does with the father of José de Jesús Aguilar, the so-called “father of the stars.” The priest himself told reporters on April 18 that had attended Maribel Guardia’s house to invite her to get rid of the ashes of José Julián, whose urn the actress keeps in her home.

“The thanatological process requires that there be a detachment to accept reality. Her son will continue to live in her, in her heart, in her mind, even if she does not have the ashes,” she said then.

Weeks after that meeting, the actress commented that she appreciates the priest’s suggestion but prefers to ignore it and for the moment she will keep José Julián’s ashes in her home. Boarded at the capital airport, Maribel Guardia spoke to the press with humor to clarify that she maintains a good relationship with Aguilar, However, that does not mean that he will heed your advice.

“My father beat me up, but I go my way, I don’t pay attention to him. It’s a process that I have to live, and I’m going to live it my way,” he emphasized.

In this way she reaffirms that she is going through a delicate period for her sentimentally and emotionally regarding José Julián. Despite the internal collapse that she faces and its impact on her ability to continue working, Guardia refuses the solution of taking medication. He would rather be aware of his pain than give in to possible drug dependence.

“I prefer not to do those things, because I know that if I start taking medications I will become addicted to them and I will not be able to live without them. I prefer to do it by the skin of my teeth”.

Choose faith and prayer. Ask God for strength to continue on your path. In that sense, and taking into account the words of Father José de Jesús Aguilar, she has a perfect notion that José Julián’s ashes must rest in a sacred enclosure. In fact, Guardia already took that step when building his son’s mortuary destiny.

“I already made the niche, but not for now (I will place the urn inside it)”, He referred to close with the topic of Aguilar regarding the thanatological transition that he carries out. The actress will know when, but today she wants to stop time to feel close to her son through the ashes in her home. It is, furthermore, a procedure that requires the support of Imelda Garza Tuñón, José Julián’s widow, and that goes hand in hand with the decisions made by her mother-in-law.
