Naomi Campbell has spoken for the first time about how she became a mother despite being at an age when menopause begins to occur. The 54-year-old supermodel confirmed thate resorted to surrogacy to have her two children.
“Yes, I do”he stated in an interview published in The Times on June 7.
During the interview, Campbell revealed that her 2-year-old daughter and son, born in June 2023, were both conceived through surrogacy. Since the birth of her two children, the model and reality TV host has avoided mentioning their names, dates of birth, and showing her face.
Campbell also addressed the “fear” he feels about the future. “My babies are everything to me. “That has made me fear for the future.”, he expressed. “I hope for a better world for my children. They are my 110 percent priority. I have to be there for them on their first day of school.”
The English model added that she is happy being a “single mother” and expressed her concern about women who say they don’t want to have children or that it is “too expensive.” “I told them, ‘You will change your mind. You will want to be a mother‘. I understand that economically it is difficult. But my mother had nothing and she made it work. It’s worth it. He is amazing”Campbell commented.
Campbell had previously not shared many details about her children, although in February 2022 she told Vogue that her daughter “was not adopted; she’s my daughter”. This generated a huge scandal because, in theory, Naomi should no longer be able to have children due to her age. Now, revealing that she used a surrogate, the doubts have been dispelled.
It was in 2021 when Naomi announced that she had become a mother, even being on the cover of Vogue magazine posing with her baby in her arms.

Currently, Campbell has become the first supermodel to be the subject of an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London. The exhibition, titled “Naomi: In Fashion,” will open on June 22 and is described as the “first of its kind” to explore Campbell’s career. The description notes: “Through the work of leading global designers and photographers, we celebrate their creative collaborations, activism, and her broad cultural impact.”
