Porto Seguro is officially back. This Wednesday, the famous axé band inaugurated its new stage after releasing the reissue of an iconic hit that marked several generations.

Is about Dance in pairs, a single that is part of the new album by the Brazilian group and the third in their artistic career. It is already available on YouTube, while on Spotify it will premiere at 8:00 p.m.

The return of Porto Seguro

Porto Seguro rose to fame in the early years of the 2000s. It was through the extinct program Mekano that axé, as a musical movement, managed to conquer hundreds of young people during that time and became a boom.

And now, Porto Seguro made its return with some of its emblematic members: Paloma Fiuza (Pops), Fabricio Vasconcelos, Thiago Cunha and Vivi Rodrigues.

“We are going to arrive with all the energy and joy that characterizes us. People will be happy and will have a great time as a family with the big hits,” says Rodríguez.

Meanwhile, Thiago is hopeful about this new experience, due to the experiences he had with the band during its golden era. “When I was in the group they were the best moments of my life.”

“In this formation there will be Fabricio and Vivi who are from the first stage and Paloma and I who are from the second. Something unprecedented in the history of the group and that I am sure the fans will treasure in the same way that it excites us,” he adds.

Fabricio, for his part, feels “proud” and “happy” with the launch of Bailar de a dos. “Beautiful things are coming and we are surely going to enjoy it with our families, with our sons and daughters who will live this entire process with us this time”account.

“We are working on making something really nice for the entire public. I think this return will be something to talk about since there are many new things that we will gradually make known. Personally, I am very happy and very grateful and we are going to repay all the love that people have always given us,” Pops emphasizes.

The controversy

Although the return of the beloved Rio band has caused excitement among those who danced and sang to the rhythm of the axé, it has also sparked controversies, since other members of Porto Seguro did not participate in this new stage. We talk about Indio Costa, Cherry de Paula and Fran Deggerone.

One of the rumors that swirled in the case of Indio Costa was that, supposedly, he had been excluded due to his current physical condition. The Brazilian did not confirm that speculation specifically, but said that he had suffered discrimination from his teammates.

“One issue is discrimination, but the biggest disappointment is when your so-called friends turn their backs on you out of ambition. I continue doing my events for weddings, companies, parties and bullfights. “I don’t need to be with the group to do what I love, which is dancing,” she noted to Page 7 in April of this year.

As detailed by Vivi Rodrigues to MONthe reason that only some members participated is because it is a production company that is in charge of the comeback project.

“They did a survey with the public to see the most remembered, because there were seven of us and Fabricio (Vasconcellos), Thiago (Cunha), Paloma (Fiuza) and I are returning,” the dancer emphasized.

But, in the opinion of the members excluded from Porto Seguro, these arguments are not enough. Last Sunday, before the imminent premiere of Dance in pairsthey decided to make their downloads on Instagram.

“Something nice was coming. Sadness is what I feel now. Thank you for all the loving messages, I will soon do a live to clarify those bad comments,” Cherry de Paula explained.

Fran, meanwhile, shared a biblical passage in her stories and then posed the following question: “Is money worth more than years of friendship?”.
