Matías has been a photographer for 13 years. He started after finishing high school and specialized in natural and architectural photography. The now world-renowned image of him was created in 2020 and is a composition of three different photos: “The sky and the rainbow on the one hand, the stars and, finally, the moon,” he explained. When editing it, he aligned the rainbow with the moon because they had the same shape, “like they were copying each other.”

“I took it out during the pandemic, Thanks to my dad, who told me to go out to the patio to look at the sky. I published it a few days after releasing it and it went a bit viral, which, I suppose, helped the image reach Coldplay four years later,” he said. A very important detail for the Bahian photographer is that he captured the images with his Nikon D3100. “It is a camera that I have a lot of affection for him because it was my first camera and it accompanied me for many years.”
