Diego Muvará, singer and composer, spoke about his song ‘My Wonder Woman’

Diego Muvará is a singer and composer from Cúcutaknown for being a vocalist of the Romanzza band with which he lasted 13 years. In 2020 he decided to debut as a soloist and released his first single ‘Tú te pass’.

Thus, Muvará passed through the microphones of W Weekend to tell about his process as a soloist and talk about his song ‘My Wonder Woman’.

‘My Wonder Woman’

“When I released this single I thought that I want to talk about what wonderful this woman is, but ‘Wonder Woman’ didn’t rhyme that much to me and saying wonderful woman sounded like a very old ballad to me, so I said ‘My Wonder Woman’. It seemed cool to my ear and when you search for it on social media it’s the only thing that appears and It suits me very much that the name is original”commented the singer.

When did you start making music?

“At least almost 20 years ago, I had a musical project that in Cúcuta and the neighboring city, Bucaramangawhich had a very good boom that was the band Romanzza, but in 2020 this project ends after 14 years of career, so, I decided to emerge as Diego Muvará“, said the artist.

Colombian roots

“I’ve always sounded like I wasn’t from here, I’ve sounded like I was from outside. When I heard my music on the radio without knowing that I was from here, people said it looked like Mexico or from another side, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t know everything that is so beautiful musically and artistically. However, my musical influence was not rooted in my land, it was from sounds from other parts of the world. However, I have always held the name of Cúcuta high and North of Santander where I go because many times suddenly people forget that it is Cúcuta and that it is not Venezuela, yes we have a border and a lot of them, but we are Colombia“, commented the man from Cúcuta.

Romanzza Band

Although the singer from Cucuta is known for having been vocalist of the band Romanzza for 13 years, however, he is currently looking for people to call him Diego Muvará.

“It still touches me work very hard on my solo work so that my name Diego Muvará is known. Although I am not unaware that they continue to call me the one who sang in Romanzza because it was my school, my project a long time ago and gave me everything I am today“, said the singer.
