The rector of the National University of Comahue (UNCO), Beatriz Gentile, referred to the beginning of the Diploma in Intercultural Medicine. He explained that in March UNCO was established as the first national intercultural university in Argentina through the reform of the statute. “This is the result of a long process, of an academic and cultural experience where extension teams, research and free professorships have been creating this path of dialogue of knowledge,” he noted.

He also considered that the Argentine cultural political imagination finds it strange but that this diploma is a great step to open the door to a process that is more advanced in the rest of Latin America.

He provided details about the Diploma in particular and how it was developed. “It is aimed at health agents who want to begin to see these different worldviews regarding health and well-being”
