The Mechanized Cavalry Group No. 1 Silva Plazas, with the support of the municipal mayor’s office and the Faith in Colombia program, provided medical services, legal advice and recreational activities for the community, in the village of Páramo, La Capilla sector, in the municipality of Tutaza.
The development support day, according to the National Army, had the purpose of contributing to the physical and social well-being of the community.
They would have provided general medicine consultations and specialized care in dentistry, oral hygiene, nursing, physical therapy, acupuncture, psychology, pediatrics and optometry. Qualified professionals offered personalized attention, as well as free legal advice for the community.
The event also featured veterinary care for the community’s pets, as well as a beauty academy that provided hairdressing and personal care services. Also, free maintenance was provided for bicycles, promoting active mobility in the community. During the activity, an exhibition of local crafts was presented. These activities allowed social integration and recreation among participants, thus fostering a sense of community and belonging.
The Development Support day reflects the commitment of the National Army, authorities and entities with the community of Tutazá; which allowed the attention of 600 people who benefited from the different services.
