Gerly Hassam Gómez Parra, known in the artistic world as ‘Hassam’ reappeared on his social networks to inform his followers who will continue to be hospitalized for a few more days, after being admitted in an emergency.

“I will remain in medical care for several days, I already have visitors, my Mariana’s zebra monkey and Tutty’s little chef. And my family nurse is giving me a lot of love,” he said.
Hassam apologized to his followers for postponing his shows, however, he said he would hope to be 100 percent “to continue making fun of life,” he concluded.

Although the comedian did not clarify the reasons why he was hospitalized or how long he will remain there, his followers sent him messages of encouragement: “Strength my Warrior, your daughters need you, God and the Virgin with you”, “My best wishes and prayers for Get well soon, dear Hassam”, were some of the comments.

What illness does Hassam have?
In 2019, Hassam was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of cancer that, according to the Mayo Clinic, begins with a plasma cell in the bone marrow and begins to generate cancer cells that accumulate in this bone and drive out healthy blood cells.
“Myeloma cells can damage bones and increase the risk of bone fractures,” points out the medical expert.
In June 2020, the comedian told his followers that he no longer had cancer cells in his bone marrow. Hassam assured at that time that the myeloma “is controlled thanks to chemo.”
