A particular case in recent days was that of Accord Healthwhich on June 6 notified its members that next month the fees would be adjusted by 18.8%, arguing that the “costs of health infrastructure have been seriously affected by the incessant increases (during the years 2023 and 2024) in the prices of medicines, supplies and associated services, among others.”

However, a week later, it finally announced that the increase will be 8.8%, a little above the large prepaid ones.

The precautionary measures no longer apply

Days ago, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce canceled the precautionary measure of April 16 that established that until October seven of the largest prepaid companies in the country had to adjust their prices according to the CPI.

That is why, starting in July, prepaid medicine companies will be free to adjust their fees without an established limit.
