The Ministry of Health received 36 students from Favaloro University who will carry out their internships in the province – Santiago del Estero

From Agreement that exists between both institutionsthe students of Favaloro University Medicine they will make their Rural Compulsory Final Practice in the hospitals in the interior of the province.

At the headquarters of Ministry of Healththe students were received by the Secretary of Health, Dr. César Monti together with the director of the Interior, Dr. Graciela Alzogaray; the Operational Coordinator, Lawyer Marisol Castaño and the directors of the hospitals in the interior that are the headquarters of the practices: Loreto, Dr. Santiago Ábalos Mussi; cold, Dr. Darío Ocaranza; Burnt Mount, Dr. José Gómez; Añatuya, Dr. Hugo Avellaneda; The Looms, Dr. Pamela Serrano Nogalo; tintina, Dr. Carla Geréz; Fernandez, instructor Dr. Griggio and Flag, Dr. Marta Arguello. They are all medical students who finished their study curriculum lacking this Final Compulsory Rural Practice (PFO Rural) to obtain your degree.

The rotation lasts 3 months and is inserted into the hospital system that receives medical students from the Faculties of UNSE, UNT, UNC as well as the University of Favarolo.

Furthermore, the Interior Directorate through the Dr. Graciela Alzogaray signed a Collaboration agreement with the mayors of these cities that collaborate with the accommodation of students from different provinces of the country.

This agreement allows medicine residents carry out their internships in various locations in Santiago del Esteroproviding a enriching experience for both students and local communities.

The Dr. Graciela Alzogaray He highlighted the importance and scope of the agreement: “This agreement with Favaloro University has been implemented for several years and on this occasion we have 9 locations enabled, where we receive medical students from the university, UNSE and UNT. The students have already completed their curricula and only this practice remains to qualify as doctors.”

Finally, the Dr. Alzogaray He concluded by highlighting the value of this initiative: “It is a challenge and it is a pride that arises from the Government of the Province, it is a rewarding experience and the students are also very satisfied with what the Province offers them.”

He Dr. Darío Ocaranza, deputy director of the Frías Hospital, stressed that “in Frías it is very positive within the hospital, it requires us to improve management and quality. We work together with Buenos Aires, it is something that has an important federal base, it is a chain reaction towards the community. In Frías we have 38 doctors, the entire staff is prepared and we even have doctors who fell in love with the city and stayed to live in Frías.”

For its part, the Dr. Carla Geréz, director of the Tintina Hospital, pointed out that “in Tintina the arrival of the interns is something very positive. They take the experiences and we receive everything they give us from the health centers. The students join our teams and do radiation work, which is a team of professionals who provide care in the posts or places that are far from the health center.”

Finally the Dr. Castaño He also expressed “the pride of saying that there are two professionals who decided to stay and live in Santiago with these practices. There remains learning in hospital processes, all processes remain institutionalized. It’s a back and forth, every teaching hospital grows, it involves modifying behaviors, everything is a learning process.”
