At what point did you see the need to highlight your commitment to society? obtaining the IMPULSA CULTURA Seal?
At Lluch Essence we are committed to society and actively participate in the promotion of culture for social well-being. We are convinced that culture enriches us as people and as a team.
As members of the Fundació Catalunya Cultura Cultura we believed it was necessary to have this recognition. For us it is an honor to have achieved it, since it highlights good company practices supporting culture.
In addition, the Seal highlights our impact on several of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) by creating new opportunities through support for culture and talent, with a transformative capacity and social progress. The seal is already part of our business and family values.
What assessment do you make of this initiative of which numerous organizations from various economic fields are already part?
It’s marvelous. This initiative shows the social commitment of many companies, entities and foundations to the world of culture. We are a group with clear common interests, that we join together and whose mission is to support the development of this initiative, and that we allocate part of our time to its development. We carry out different cultural activities aimed at a very diverse audience, both internal and external, we contribute positively to the community. We have collaborated on cultural and social projects, always aligned with our values. Happy to have this recognition, we will continue working to continue promoting culture and being a reference of inspiration for other entities.
What other initiatives and projects derived from your responsible management model would you like to highlight?
Lluch Essence wants to inspire a change in behaviour in companies, thinking about how their actions affect people and the environment, making decisions with responsibility, transparency and accountability.
Lluch Essence’s commitment is to “Thrive Together”, with this objective it promotes a culture of sustainable development that encourages the growth of its interest groups: clients, suppliers, workers, associations, local community…
As we want to contribute to the preservation of ecosystems and mitigate climate change, we have a comprehensive decarbonization strategy that has very ambitious objectives. These are some of the most significant initiatives:
- We calculate and offset our scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint.
- We have also collaborated with our suppliers
- We collaborate with the Sèlvans association, which works to preserve a network of ancient forests to reach 10% of the Catalan forest area in 2030, a goal aligned with the requirements of the European Green Deal.
From the perspective of social impact, we have a holistic CSR strategy that guarantees compliance with the highest standards, ensuring the needs and health of our workers and community. This is why we value the collaboration with Associació SaóPrat, a local association that facilitates the insertion of people in vulnerable situations. Together we work on projects to build a society with equal opportunities, inclusive, and supportive.
As a family and company we like to create value, not only economic but social, responsible and in this case, also promoting cultural heritage.
