The Clinica del Country in Bogotá released on Thursday the first medical report of the director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency (Dapre), Laura Sarabia, after President Gustavo Petro stated that she had to be hospitalized, even reaching the Intensive Care Unit.
“Laura Sarabia, the director of Dapre, could not accompany us here, because she had to be hospitalized yesterday, she even went to intensive care; “She has suffered a violent attack via network networks that the press has made official, turning them into news without investigation,” the head of state said this Friday.
The medical center indicated in a statement that Sarabia “is stable and under medical observation,” without detailing the health problem suffered by the official.
“The Clinica del Country is pleased to inform you that yesterday Mrs. Laura Sarabia Torres, Director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency of the Republic (DAPRE), entered the facilities of the Clinica del Country to be clinically evaluated by our healthcare professionals. health,” it reads.
He added that “Mrs. Sarabia is under the observation of our medical and care team. She is stable and her health condition is not life-threatening. The medical team has been working diligently to ensure the patient’s well-being and provide high-quality medical care.”
Regarding the reasons for the patient’s admission to the clinic, he said: “We respect the privacy of the medical history, therefore, we appreciate the understanding of the media and the general public.
Any news about his health status will be reported to the public with the express authorization of his family.”
