This Sunday, Mega surprised by confirming the remake of “The Lord of Querencia” and unveil the first images of his new television series.
It is worth remembering that in mid-March it was revealed that The public channel sold the rights to adapt three well-known national productions to the signal: “El Señor de la Querencia”, “Amores de Mercado” and “La Fiera”.
In the first preview that Mega released through its social networks, the actor Gabriel Canas will play José Luis Echeñiquethe role that was originally Julio Milostich in 2008.
In the record, along with the images of the actor personifying the violent protagonist of the series, Cañas also reflected on his new role.
“What we are doing is nice, a remake, because it gives us the opportunity to honor certain works that have been recognized and have become icons, especially by Julio (Milostich). For me, this acting challenge of honoring the work of a colleague like him fills me with desire.“Cañas stated in the video.
In turn, he expressed that “Violence seems to me to be a valid driving force and I don’t want to moralize it, but I do believe that if we are going to touch on these issues, we are going to use violence as a language that you are going to see at home, I think it is super necessary to agree on why we are going to do it. And what reflection we can bring home through this violence.”

Finally, Gabriel Cañas commented that “Without a doubt it is going to be a feminist television series, it is going to be a television series that is going to uphold certain rights of equality of human beings. Of the dignity of all human beings and rights as something transversal”.
