Javi Redondo went from being a total unknown to rising to fame thanks to his participation in ‘The Island of Temptations’. The Catalan came as a partner of Claudia Martínez, previously known for her contest in ‘Mujeres y Hombres y Viceversa’ and for currently being in Honduras taking part in ‘Survivors’.

In March 2023, Javi and Claudia decided to end a romance full of comings and goings after the two returned from the Dominican Republic. Since then, the exchange of criticism has been practically constant and, in fact, intensified when it became public that Martínez had started an affair with Mario González, who was Javi’s main support in the format presented by Sandra Barneda.

Faced with such a vital situation and after new difficulties appeared in his personal relationships with his friends, Redondo decided to make a 180-degree turn in his life and go to live in Tunisia, as the talk show host told ‘In all the sauces’, Javier de Hoyos. “He is there working as a paddle tennis teacher for children,” he explained.

Another reason for having changed continents is that the former professional paddle tennis player had not been satisfied after his television exposure. “He has been touched and I was reluctant to tell him about this. He wants to be away and that is why he has made a radical change in his life. “He was touched by the criticism,” he stressed.

Redondo’s former editing colleague, Tania Déniz, qualified Javier de Hoyos’ information by specifying that “he went to Tunisia because he had no other choice.” “He lived at a friend’s house and they kicked him out. It was because of the way he was. Javi is complicated, it’s like he always wants to pretend to look good. He has a bit of a child’s personality. and, in the end, your friends will get tired of that,” he pointed out.

With WPT ranking

Despite having retired from the WPT circuit for a few years, Javi Redondo was a professional padel player since 2013 until he decided to change careers to dedicate himself to television. Since his debut, Redondo played 277 games, of which he won more than half, 147. His best season was in 2018, where he reached 64.41% effectiveness, once entering the round of 16. and two in the round of 32 in the draws of the major events.
