The event where important personalities meet marks the inauguration of the museum’s annual fashion exhibition, which is visited by thousands of tourists and locals, showing that each year it presents clothing collections according to the established theme.

Established in 1948 by fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert to raise funds and promote the fashion industry, it has become one of the most exclusive and media events from the international fashion world.
The person in charge of selecting the guests since 1995 is the editor-in-chief of VogueAnna Wintour, which gives an even more exclusive aura to the event that attracts celebrities and fashion lovers year after year.
This year, the MET Gala presents the theme “Sleeping beauties: the awakening of fashion”inspiration that will be present in the museum’s decoration and in the guests’ clothing.

In this context, the television channel AND! Entertainmentwhich has given full coverage to the MET Gala from its red carpet, invited some Latin American designers to make an outfit inspired by the theme of the event, which in English is named “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”.
In the case of Mexico, the chosen designer was Carlos Pinedaa young talent who has stood out with his creativity in the field of fashion and is beginning to “make noise” internationally, like when he dressed the singer Camila Cabello for presentation at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Champions League.
On this occasion, the Mexican created a colorful and vaporous outfit, at the height of the famous MET Gala.
“We made a very beautiful piece, full of details and with more ruffles than ever. I used organza which, by the way, I had never used before. It is a difficult material to work with but we accepted the challenge and I think you will love the result,” the designer told the magazine. Marie Claire Mexico.
The designer shared that he was inspired by sea plants to create the outfit that can be appreciated by the international audience of AND! Entertainment.
“We found this amazing organza with three different flower prints, but I wanted to steer it towards something like foliage or marine nature. I think it evokes a coral or these sea plants that move with the water,” he shared.
Originally from Colima, Colima, Carlos Pineda studied at the Fashion Design Center in Guadalajara, Jalisco, where he cemented his knowledge with masters of fashion and clothing.
One of her first jobs was in a modeling agency, coordinating campaigns and fashion shows, and in 2017 she presented her first collection at Intermoda – the largest fashion business exhibition in Latin America -, where she attracted attention for her fresh and colorful style.
Having participated in events such as Mazda Fashion Show and Vogue Fashion’s Night Outfigures such as Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller, Mariana Rodríguez, Yalitza Aparicio, Thalía, Ludwika Paleta, Ximena Sariñana and Shakira have worn a design by Carlos Pineda.
