On the morning of Wednesday, May 8, the Prime Video platform confirmed that the series that will continue the story of Beatriz Pinzón Solano, Armando Mendoza and of all Ecomoda It will be available from July 19, 2024.
If the expectation was already considerable when the plans to record this new installment were confirmed, they increased even more now that there is a date on the horizon. For this reason, the protagonist and visible face of this continuation of the most internationally recognized Colombian soap opera gave an in-depth interview.

In fact, Ana María Orozco spoke with People in spanish about this return and what it represented for them more than 20 years after the original story was broadcast on the RCN Channel. Orozco initially expressed that he “took me by surprise,” but he could not hide his happiness at returning to the character that he projected internationally. In that sense, he also referred to the impact of that role on his professional career.
“At the time it was an important impact and I feel that it was a ‘before’ and an ‘after’ in my career. Through the years that everything is going downhill, that there is this strong and incredible memory of what Betty ‘the phenomenon’ has been, I truly feel very honored. I feel that I have been able to value more and more the legacy that the character has left.“, she admitted, adding that she liked reuniting with her most emblematic character when both the actress and the head of Ecomoda are mothers. Continuing with that parallel, she confessed that in her daily life she is “very much a mother hen” with her two daughters.
Regarding the way in which her love story with Armando Mendoza will be approached, Ana María pointed out that “the beautiful thing is that it has been a happy story of love, but also with its vicissitudes such as life, what they may go through as a couple, as family”. Hence, she announced that Mila has conflicts and decisions to face in the series, and they will be definitive in expressing the relationship between mother and daughter. “We have tried to face those challenges, as in life, what any parent can go through. The actress also talked about the rest of the cast, and her behind-the-scenes relationship with Jorge Enrique Abello. “We have immense affection for Jorge. “We are good companions,” she indicated. Finally, the actress remembered the librettist Fernando Gaitán, who died in 2019 and whom she assured that with this return they are paying a heartfelt tribute. “I feel like we are paying tribute to her, that we honor that original Betty without trying to be the same. “We are doing the exercise of imagining what happened during these 20 years and how they are now, with the same humor”he declared.
