Mauricio Israel came forward to address the accusations of homophobia made against him by Branya Tepes, who during his time on the reality show “Opposite Worlds 2”, as Branislav, denounced this week on social networks that the sports commentator had homophobic attitudes against him that ruined his life and damaged him during his time on Chilean television.

The communicator assured this Friday, in conversation with the entertainment program “Que te lo digo”, that he “deeply” regretted if during his time on the Channel 13 program he had harmed Tepes, whom he even offered to help in case of need it.

Mauricio Israel’s apologies

It was after delivering a first statement, in which he claimed not to remember the episodes of homophobia reported by Tepes and not having the power to have him removed from the program, that Israel reflected on his first statements to point out that “I deeply regret that he had a bad time.” , and if he felt that I hurt him, I apologize. And what’s more, if he needs my help, let him count on me from now on.”

Previously, the sports commentator had noted about the episode that “I have little memory of what happened,” and “I have little memory of him as well.”

“That reality show was in 2013, 11 years have passed, a lot of water under the bridge. I came to that reality show, I was there, who knows, five weeks. Then I left, I spent a little more time in Chile, and then I left to continue living my life in the United States. Therefore, I have little memory of what happened, I have little memory of him too, I’m just glad to see him, he’s fine now, so I’m glad to see him, but from there to the things he says, I really don’t I remember a lot,” said the communicator.

If he felt that I hurt him, I apologize. And what’s more, if he needs my help, let him count on me from now on.

“If he feels that those things happened like that, that’s fine. He has every right and I offer my apologies. With the passage of time one sees things differently perhaps, but I don’t have great memories. It was a reality show that wasn’t easy for me, I spent a lot of time raving about it, so, damn, I’m sorry he felt that way. I don’t remember many of the things he says, and nothing else, wishing him that his life goes very well, that he continues to do well and that he can fulfill all his dreams and goals, and that he has a peaceful life. I wish you good luck,” he added.

“I didn’t live in Chile. I came to that reality show, I left Chile, I didn’t know anyone on television, I had no connection with television. How can I want to harm someone after I’m gone? Yes I continued with my life. Which for me didn’t continue on television. He also makes some very strong accusations, I was watching there, against Claudio Fariña, a person whom I do not know nor have any connection with him. So, it’s okay, if he feels that way and believes that I had so much power, that after leaving Chile, I would have made him not continue on television. I mean, I don’t remember seeing him before and I don’t know if he was there after. The truth is that I have no idea. Maybe it’s true, I don’t know. One suddenly does things that perhaps one does not even realize, but I don’t think I have so much power for that,” he concluded.
