Photos of Cleo Oettingen, the daughter of a Chilean who dazzles European monarchies

No matter where you are in the world, or what your social status is, the truth is that there is always a Chilean. In this particular case, the daughter of a compatriot dazzles European monarchies as a fashion icon.

This is Cleo Oettingen, born in Switzerland in the marriage of Lillian-Elena Baetting-Rodríguez and the Swiss baron and artist Louis von Adelsheim. She returned to Chile after two years, stayed for a decade, and then returned to Europe to live in Germany, England, France, and finally in Spain.

From Madrid, where she lives, she defined herself as “more Latin and an artist than anything else. The thing about titles and that stuff doesn’t define me at all. It is tradition and I respect it, but I am much more bohemian than conservative” in conversation with Velvet magazine.

In 2016, at the age of 28, she married Prince Franz Albrecht Oettingen-Oettingen, a wedding that even Prince Harry attended. Regarding how she lives in Oettingen, Germany, in relation to the Monarchy, she stated that it “does have relevance and carries a series of responsibilities.”

Regarding her tastes, Cleo confessed that “writing, acting and, recently, I started collecting art. Among them, Chilean artists such as Guillermo Lorca Garcia-Huidobro and Patrick Hamilton.”

Finally, about her Chilean roots, the royal recalled them with emotion. “What I miss most – and what I would jump on a plane for in a heartbeat – is joy and food. Above all, the humitas,” she emphasized.
