the death of businessman and urban music artist Dr Velásquez caused surprise and shock in the public due to the strange circumstances under which his death occurred.
The man was found with a gunshot wound to the head inside his home, located in the rural area of Envigado, Antioquia. In the same residence, in one of the rooms, the authorities found the body of the man’s wife, wrapped in sheets and with a pool of blood..

In addition to Daniel Alejandro Velásquez Franco, real name of Dr Velásquez, Astrid Sofía Riascos Valdés identified herself as the artist’s sentimental partner.

A prosecutor from the homicide early warning group took over the investigation of the case to determine if it was a homicide or if the man had taken his life after murdering his partner.

The artist’s uncle told the police that he left the house to buy more liquor and when he returned he found his nephew with a gunshot wound to the head.
”At the site they met with Mr. Juan Alberto Agudelo, (uncle of the deceased) who is in a state of drunkenness, who stated that he was chatting with the deceased, and went out to buy a liquor and upon returning found him dead. “says the report.
The man handed over to the Police a less lethal pistol-type firearm.
Moments later, during the investigation, the uniformed officers found the body of the artist’s romantic partner, with a gunshot wound and wrapped in sheets.
“The Prosecutor’s Office, in the company of the National Police, are carrying out all the investigative activities at the scene of the events, conducting the different interviews to establish what could have happened in this place,” said General Óscar Lamprea, commander of the Aburrá Valley Metropolitan Police.
