Kevin Spacey The well-known 64-year-old actor is facing foreclosure on his home in Baltimore due to accumulated debts. In a recent interview on the program “Piers Morgan Uncensored”Spacey explained his legal and financial difficulties that he has had to fight since several allegations of sexual abuse began to appear.
The interview, whose preview was shared on social networks, shows a visibly affected Kevin.
During the conversation, Morgan asked Spacey where he currently lived. The actor, obviously broken, lowers his head so that the camera does not see him crying.
However, his breathing and the way his face furrowed ended up giving him away. Dejected, he responded: “It’s funny you ask that because my house in Baltimore is going into foreclosure this week.”. He added that his house will be auctioned and that he must return to the city to store his belongings. Spacey has resided in Baltimore since he began filming the “House of Cards” series in 2012 and has lived at that particular property since 2016.
Morgan also inquired into the reasons behind the foreclosure. Golden Globe winner Spacey mentioned that he simply can’t pay his debts. Although he managed to avoid bankruptcy in the past, he confessed that he still has many legal expenses to cover.
Spacey’s financial difficulties have been exacerbated by costs stemming from a series of sexual assault allegations that first came to light in 2017, during the rise of the Me Too movement. These accusations drastically affected his career, resulting in his removal from the series “House of Cards” and the editing of him out of the movie “All the Money in the World.”
In recent years, other people have accused Spacey of similar inappropriate behavior, with the Old Vic theater in London even registering 20 complaints against him between 1995 and 2013. The lawsuits not only meant a huge loss of money for Spacey and the roles he at the time he was performing. Hollywood closed its doors completelypreventing him from appearing in front of the cameras again.
“I lost my reputation, I lost everything in a matter of days,” said the protagonist of “American Beauty” at the time.
During his trial in the United Kingdom in July 2023, Spacey also declared himself “devastated” by the allegations, stating that his actions were, in his perception, “romantic” and “intimate.”
In July 2023, Spacey was acquitted of nine counts of sexual assault at Southwark Crown Court, London. However, new allegations surfaced in May 2024, including statements from his estranged brother, Randy, in the docuseries. “Spacey Unmasked” from Investigation Discovery.
