The former model, Claudio Schmidt, criticized TVN’s announcement to hire Carla Jara as a panelist on the morning show Buenos Días a Todos, ensuring that the channel, which has had losses in recent semesters, “He is wasting money.”
In the Zona de Estrellas program, Schmidt negatively evaluated Jara’s hiring, indicating that the morning show should not make hires if it is in a crisis and even spoke of possible “cronyism” in the hiring.
“At the time we had raised it with Yamila Reyna and now the same thing. What are they thinking? I mean, here it really is a move that I don’t know who could understand, because they are wasting money (…) I mean, loving Carlita, one has nothing against Carlita, of course, but that morning is sinking. How are they going to do this hiring? We are not even in the season, I don’t know, of summer, where one can say perfectly carlita… cronyism,” said Schmidt.
To further his point, Schmidt maintained that TVN – due to its financial problems – should have continued inviting Jara and then evaluated the results, but that the hiring was an excess.
“I’m saying it’s wasted money.because perfectly well, if you are testing someone, I kept calling her, keep her coming, what do I know (…) Basically that’s what I’m going for: hiring, that’s what I think is not the right place, inviting her, continuing to study what happens with her, But in the last program she was on, hey, the difference was brutal, that is, it went down a point,” argued the former model from Morandé con Compañía.
