Maxi Campo’s documentary ‘Roots, melodies of seduction’ comes to Filmin

The documentary film ‘Roots, melodies of seduction’, directed by Huesca filmmaker Maxi Campo (Huesca, 1975) officially premieres today on the small screen through the platform Filmin, which is also part of a new edition of the Filmin Music Fest. The work of the Aragonese director portrays three musicians from rural areas, Viki Lafuente, Joaquin Pardinilla and Miguel Lardies, that are found in the Aínsa Castle Festival.

After appearing in Zaragoza, Boltaña and on the last day of Espiello, the international ethnographic documentary festival of Sobrarbe, The documentary now follows the natural course of a production that was born “from the Filmin spirit: independent, free and unconventional cinema. We have felt this way from the beginning and our greatest desire was to see it located there, with an audience similar to our proposal. So we are very happy and proud. Being part of the Filmin catalog is the perfect cherry on top of this wonderful experience,” he says. Maxi Campo, author of several short films and documentaries (‘Discovering Mosén Bruno’, ‘The Cursed Director’…) with extensive professional experience in the audiovisual industry.

In this new adventure, the director has had the photography of Diego Mata, sound post production Andrey French and graphic design Javier Lavilla. A joint effort to collect the actions of the three protagonist musicians and also their interaction with more than fifty people related to their environment, as well as the entire bustling atmosphere of the Castillo de Aínsa Festival where, in addition to the participation of Santiago Auserón and La Ronda de Boltaña, highlights a very special and magical performance between local musicians and the popular singer Rozalén.

‘Estate. Melodies of seduction’ is the work of Dear Productions and has had the participation of Aragón TV, the Huesca Provincial Council and the Aínsa-Sobrarbe City Council.
