The presenter decided to break the silence recently in an interview with the program ‘JC Televidente’ and confessed why she did not decide to stay and live in Colombia.
According to her statements, while in London she met Julio Sánchez Cristo, current director of the W. This meeting marked the beginning of a new stage for Eva Rey, who became a correspondent from the British capital for Sánchez.

Although Eva Rey initially had no experience in this medium, she accepted the challenge and flew to Bogotá with a one-way ticket that became her new permanent home.
“While in Madrid, Yamit Amat called me and said: ‘Have you ever done television?’, he was listening to me on the radio. I told him: ‘not really’. He told me: ‘come, we’ll do a test and you decide.’ I left with a round trip ticket and never came back, I missed the return trip“added the Iberian.
Since her arrival in Colombia, Eva Rey has consolidated her presence in the media, standing out for her interviews with celebrities that are now broadcast on Discovery Home & Health.
At every step of his career, he has demonstrated a deep connection with Colombian culture, admiring the humor and warmth of its people. “I have connected from the first moment, by telling you that I do not have any Spanish friends in Colombia, the only Spanish person is me”, he commented.
And although he frequently travels to Spain to visit his family, his heart is firmly rooted in Colombia, a country he loves and has adopted as his own.
