After playing Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the second trilogy (first in chronological order of events) of ‘Star Wars’, the return of Hayden Christensen was rumored for many years as the most popular Sith Lord in the history of the universe created by George Lucas. Finally, the actor once again donned one of the most famous masks in the history of cinema both in ‘Ahsoka’ like in ‘Obi-Wan’the series that can already be enjoyed on Disney+, and has been asked what would happen if one of the craziest crossovers we could imagine took place, and the worlds of Star Wars and Marvel collided.
In an interview with GQ, Christensen was asked about the winner of a hypothetical fight between Darth Vader and none other than Thanoshe big bad of Phase 4 of the UCM, and which came to an end after ‘Avengers: Endgame’. As could not be expected otherwise, it is clear that the quintessential ‘Star Wars’ villain would be the winner, even if his arguments fail. “Obviously Vader, right?” Christensen says. “Definitely Vader, Vader defeats anyone, always”.
Regarding the return, once again, of Darth Vader, to the big or small screen, Christensen claims not to know anything, although he recognizes that he is one of the most beloved characters in ‘Star Wars’, and that every time he makes an act of presence, the fans go crazy. “He is a character that people have a lot of appreciation for, you can feel that,” he says.
Christensen, the next Batman of the DC Universe?
James Gunn is still looking for an actor to become the Batman/Bruce Wayne of his DC Universe, and at the moment, it seems to be far from clear. Jake Gyllenhaal, Winston Duke, Alan Ritchson… There are many names that have been linked to the Gotham Knight in recent months, who have recently been joined by Christensen. The actor remains open to the possibility, although he does not confirm whether he will volunteer.
“Batman is a great character, but I think Robert Pattinson did a great job“, says. Asked which part of the character he would most like to play, Batman or Bruce Wayne, he does not hesitate. “It’s the dichotomy of the character, you have to have one and the other. Bruce Wayne will probably be the easiest character for me to play, personally.”
