Premiered in the middle of this same month of June, the fourth season of The Boys has not been exempt from controversy for the number of changes it has brought with it compared to the comic of the same name created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson and published for the first time in 2006; which, on the other hand, has not prevented him from rising as the second most viewedonly surpassed by season 2.

At least this is what is extracted from a report presented by JustWatch that has compared the performance of the latest episodes available to date, although a fifth season has already been confirmed, which will also be the last, with the previous ones. In this we see how, in the first days after its premiere, the fourth season of The Boys was number 1 in 32 countries where Amazon’s Prime Video operates, while the second reached this position in 89 territories. The first and third had a much lower performance, topping the charts in only 5 and 6 countries respectively.

But that’s not all, because, although the series had maintained an average rating of 8.5 points out of 10 on IMDb to date, the fourth season has reached only the 7.6 grade, lowering the overall score of the series to 8.3. Which isn’t bad either. In fact the second episode of this season 4, Life in the sewersis the worst rated by the audience.

What happens when superheroes are as powerful as they are corrupt And they are also manipulated by corporate interests? That, adorned with a lot of graphic violence, is precisely about The Boysthe series that we can see exclusively on Prime Video, Amazon’s video on demand platform.

In it we also meet the vigilante group which gives its name to the program led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), who embarks on a mission to expose and confront these less glamorous superheroes known as “The Seven”, sponsored by the Vought International corporation.
