The duo of Chilean dancers, the Power Peralta, have an extensive career on national and international stages. Both have been part of, for example, the opening of the Viña del Mar Festival in 2016, the MTV awards that same year, in addition to participating in the Telethon 2018. Two years later, they were awarded “Best Artist 2020” in Chile.

Both are in Chile, in the middle of an alliance between their dance school PowerPeralta Dance Studio and Cenco Florida, where they are holding free classes from Thursday to Sunday in said shopping center.covering genres such as urban dance, salsa, bachata and “Family Dance”, for all Chileans.

During the development of this activity, Raúl and Gabriel Peralta spoke with AS Chile, where they referred to their career, their new role as parents and their international career: “Sometimes you need to hug your loved ones…”, they shared.

– Much of your career has been abroad, what do you miss most about Chile?

– The family, they miss each other a lot, we are children of dancers and we have been very close to our parents, grandparents…now to our children. The family misses when one is outside because they have accompanied us all the way, one wants to have them close, celebrate with them our milestones, the important moments…sometimes we have been outside at important moments in our career. People’s affection is still missed, they give us a lot of love in different places and we have always been grateful.

– How has parenthood changed your lives and careers?

– There are many things, almost all of them positive. Having children fills you with love and an energy that only they can give you, it gives a purpose to life, in the case of us who have a career it made us want to continue, we realized that we still have a lot left and we want share with them what we love, what we have done all our lives, so that our children see us and remember us for what we do.

– Is it complex to complement your career and families?

– For Gabriel and I it has been a blessing, we enjoyed it very much. Obviously work and home are always difficult to manage due to time constraints, but I think we have adapted very well, we are enjoying this.

– What do you try to instill in your children?

– They are little…we try to give them security, motivate them and connect through what we are passionate about. I can speak personally for my daughter, I try to let her know me, what my energy is like, what I like to do, I like to motivate her a lot… celebrate her when she does something. I think that giving her that security, I think it is super important in these times to give confidence, affection that is lived every day…there is something that I really like, it is making her feel proud of herself.

-How have they managed to stay at the top?

– We train our dance and physique to do our shows, classes and everything we do. Also, we have a trainer with whom we work three times a week in a gym, that has more to do with injury prevention, so that our physique is suitable for dancing, maintaining the explosiveness, power and agility that we need. characterizes us.

– Are there other sports that you follow?

– We love soccer, but we are not fans of any team…we love when La Roja plays, watching foreign games like the Champions League or the Copa Libertadores. When we were kids we played a lot, we always have that mourning because it makes us want to play a game…but to prevent injuries I prefer to keep the memories.

– How was your excursion into music?

– It was at the end of 2018, our first song “Pegate” came out, we already have a lot of music out there, it is a journey that we have enjoyed a lot. We felt that our career lacked a soundtrack, long before we had made music, Gabriel always wrote…it’s something that was always there, people didn’t know it but internally we were doing a job a long time ago, like any expression artistic, it was something that had to arrive at some point.

– Is there anything you feel you have pending as a duo?

– New challenges arise in our conversations, that is what we like most about dedicating ourselves to this, we are always creating and challenging ourselves with new things, new dreams. We are dancers, we make music, we design clothes…we consider ourselves creators, it is what we are most passionate about. But our great dream is that our children at some point understand and appreciate what their parents do. We would love to be able to take them on a tour, a trip or a big stage… for them to be there in the front row, for it to be a inspiration.
