“When you see Manu, Blanca, Aitana, Ana, Xoan, Borja, Abril… acting as doctors at the Joaquín Sorolla, I think that you will want to come to this hospital even if it is only to be treated for a cold. Or to walk through the immense corridors and see the rooms, the operating rooms and all the spaces that we have recreated in an ambitious and realistic way so that the Sorolla becomes one of the reference hospitals in current fiction. We are looking forward to sharing it with you”, explained the creator of the series in a statement shared by Netflix.

He Joaquín Sorolla Hospital It is much more than a public medical center. Doctors and residents work tirelessly in the emergency room, where tensions, emotions and even desire accelerate the pulse of a staff who lives on the edge. The arrival of a prestigious patient highlights the complicated situation of public health.

Biel, one of the residents, has been working there for several months. Hundreds of guards and thousands of overtime hours that barely leave him time for his personal and leisure life. Since it is a vocational profession, he is willing to do whatever it takes to become the best doctor. What he doesn’t imagine is that A total strike is going to break out in the hospital that will leave them without minimum services. Health workers are forced to carry it out to try to raise awareness among the population about their essential work and to protest all the intolerable cuts.

Biel and the other residents do not know if supporting this strike could have fatal consequences for patients. From this conflict we will get to know each other in their daily lives. Who are those young kids who go out of their way in the hospital, assuming excessive responsibility, and who are those adults willing to lose everything to fight for what they believe in?
