Next July 13, the emblematic national rock artist Hilda Lizarazu will present a very special show at the El Círculo theater in tribute to Charly García and spoke with Rosario3 about her show, her new album and the stories that connect her to the great Charly : “The planets aligned for him to choose me,” he explained.

The interpreter of “Amanece en la ruta” and creator of great songs like “Sola en los bares”, shook up the 2024 scene with a new show and new album. “I’ll stick with the more musical Charly, with the one «Disarm and bleed»that of «How the north wind kills» and that of «The Fats of the Capitals». I’m left with that facet that refracts light and music like a mirror ball. It has so many facets, one more distorted, another more tango, another melodic, another lyrical; “He is an extraordinary artist, a composer and an author who crosses several generations,” he said.
“I appreciate his sensitivity, his intuition, his way of feeling and sharing music. I have been listening to other people’s music for a long time: The entire band would sit for hours and hours listening to music, not their own, other people’s. And he was like a nirvana.”
The show in Rosario
In artistic partnership with Lito Vitale, musical director, arranger and producer of the project, Hilda performs stainless songs, classics that are part of the collective unconscious of Argentinaversions that allow us to appreciate Charly’s compositional genius and Hilda’s interpretive talent, from the love and complicity with García’s work.
“Lito gives us great musicality, he is super respectful of the arrangements, he never had the opportunity to play with Charly, but he always admired him. Working with him is making sure you sound good and is a guarantee of laughter and having a good time.”
“We are ten musicians on stage, with a kind of script that orders us, It is a show in which the lights and the scenery play in a special way. We have a Rosario native in the band, China Roldán on the keyboards, there is also my daughter who plays guitar and sings. That is, we are a stable group that travels together.
Mia Folino Lizarazu She is Hilda’s daughter and is surprising as one of the warmest voices on the album and the show: “It’s beautiful to sing with my daughter, it’s like feeling at home, but sharing with people. It’s also a great pride. At the Coliseum we winked at that video that recently went viral, in which I go out to sing with the baby hanging on me. And Charly says it’s not mine, it’s not mine.
And he added about Mia: “That is to say, She has been on stage after stage since she was born. He also loves music and sings very well. There is also Lito Vitale’s son who plays the guitar, so he is very familiar. We call ourselves «the Vitalazzu»”.

I feel that and people express it to me, it is good to bring songs of such relevance. Yesterday I was thinking about “Yira, yira”, by Discépolo, to get out of Charly. He talked to people close to him about Artificial Intelligence and the possibility of creating something that you don’t know if it is true or not. So it came to me “you will see that everything is a lie” from the chorus. It seems that it is inherent to human beings to have paradise and hell hand in hand. AND “Live music is real”.

I am not one of those artists who underwent major changes, I I never got much response from record companies. It changed more for the industry than for the independent musician. The album
Executive produced by Ave Fénix Discos and edited by Díscola Discos, it features the participation of guest musicians, such as Federico Melioli, Luciano Vitale, Julia Di Paolo, Clara Lodi and the ensemble “La orquestita” with Víctor Carrión (flute and sax), Irene Cadario (violin), Paula Pomeraniec (cello) and Emiliano Álvarez (clarinet). The result is an exquisite tribute to a fundamental artist of Argentine culture, in the beautiful voice of his historical partner.
