The Ministry of Education (Mineduc) suspended classes for this Monday in 59 educational establishments in Atacama due to the intense rainfall recorded this weekend in the region.
In detail, the National Disaster Risk Management Unit (Ungrd) of the Mineduc determined the suspension of educational centers in the commune of Alto del Carmen (15), Boiler (4), Chañaral (1), Copiapo (25), Diego de Almagro (1), Huasco (1) and Tierra Amarilla (12).
This weekend’s frontal system has caused rolled, flooding and road closures in Atacamaaffecting homes and forcing the closure of supermarkets, stores and pharmacies.
Due to this complicated scenario, the authorities, preventively, They decided not to hold classes this Monday.
