This Tuesday the news became known that the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation unanimously rejected two proposals against the mega DNU 70/23 of President Javier Milei on the basis that there was no “specific case”, “cause” or “ controversy”. One was presented by the governor of La Rioja, Ricardo Quintela and another by the lawyer Jorge Rizzo.
That is why Multiplataforma Fenix spoke with constitutional lawyer Félix Lonigro. “In none of the cases did the court say that it is unconstitutional, which was what the government of La Rioja and Rizzo claimed.”
“What the court said is that neither of them could determine “specific case”, “cause” or “controversy”.
Lonigro mentioned that he had the opportunity to read the lawsuit that the government of La Rioja had filed. “It is a catalog of general varieties and it was known that it was not going to prosper.”
But the specialist said; “If the court wanted to rule, it would find a way to do so. Maybe here, he didn’t want to do it.”
“It is likely that the Court is waiting for Congress to reject the DNU and if Congress does not approve the DNU, the court will still have to rule on its constitutionality or not” ended.
