They find traces of the murderer in the house; They owed him more than $9,000,000

The criminals took the victim’s phone and his car keys. There was money in the house that was not touched. The autopsy revealed that he had 39 stab wounds and one more post-mortem.

While they work against the clock to find the murderer of former municipal employee Dante Edmundo “Chueco” Corlli, more details of the meticulous investigation carried out by the Fiscal Unit together with the Department of Homicide and Complex Crimes were revealed.

After noon yesterday, as EL LIBERAL had anticipated, the judicial and police authorities returned to the house on 600 Misiones Street in Bº Centenario where the well-known political leader was found dead on Tuesday morning.

There, under the gaze of Dr. Mariela Bitar de Papa, the detectives entered the property together with Criminalistics experts and carried out a new visual inspection where they found vitally important evidence.

According to judicial and police sources consulted inside the house, they found traces of footwear that did not match those the victim was wearing at the time of the attack, nor with other footwear found in the house. The experts carried out photography and planimetry work to later compare such traces to identify the author of the bloody murder.

Despite the secrecy with which the investigators work, it was learned that in one of the rooms of Corlli’s property they found the sum of 200,000 pesos in cash, which were intact.

There was also a pair of latex gloves in the house. The experts indicated that they were unused and that, in principle, they belonged to the employee who went to the victim’s house to do household chores. Regarding the things that the murderer(s) took, they indicated that Corlli’s cell phone, the keys to his car were missing from Corlli’s property – the car was stored in the garage of the house, but the experts could not open it – and some firearms. fire that the victim collected and were not found.

Although until now everything is a matter of research, the hypothesis that gained the greatest strength at the close of this edition was silver; As it became known, Corlli – as EL LIBERAL reported – made money loans. According to the sources consulted, the victim had several clients who owed him more than 9,000,000 pesos. The Prosecutor’s Office would have identified a large part of them, who are being thoroughly investigated.

The uniformed officers did not rule out operations in the next few hours.

Violence: he had 39 penetrating stab wounds; one of them post mortem

Through a medical board, yesterday minutes after noon, the forensic experts performed the autopsy on the body; The advance of the report revealed the brutality and cruelty with which the municipal pensioner was killed.

As it was learned, the medical report was forceful in explaining that the body had 39 penetrating stab wounds in the neck, chest and abdomen area that injured organs such as the heart, liver and intestines, causing abundant internal bleeding.

He also had a post-mortem wound at the level of his stomach that caused his viscera to detach. According to experts, the marks left by the cut generated with a knife made it possible to determine that the injury was inflicted viciously since the victim was already lifeless.

They also confirmed the injuries to the arms and hands due to the defense that the victim offered against her attacker. In addition, the body already had cadaverous rigidity, so they suspect that the attack occurred during the early hours of Tuesday.

Investigators are awaiting results on the remains of genetic material found under Corlli’s fingernails.

A conversation with a “high pitch” and total silence

According to the testimony of one of Corlli’s neighbors, before midnight the victim was heard “conversing” with another male person on the sidewalk of his house.

This was expressed by a local man who lives a few meters from the victim’s house who said that on Monday night – more precisely around 10 pm – he had a conversation with Corlli and did not notice anything strange.

The same witness stated that the victim crossed to a business and then entered his house. He claimed that minutes before midnight—without seeing who it was—from inside his house he heard Corlli arguing with someone.

The neighbor explained that it was a heated conversation without becoming a shouting match, and then the whole place went completely silent.

Investigators do not rule out the hypothesis that Corlli may have been attacked on the sidewalk and then ran into his house, where his attacker or attackers continued to injure him. A source close to the investigation said: “They stabbed him while they were running him away, because of the bloody footprints throughout the house.” The victim’s body will be buried today.
