Buying dengue vaccines in Corrientes costs almost half of a state salary

Yesterday, Wednesday, December 17, marked one week since the launch of vaccination against dengue by the provincial government for free but only to the population between 20 and 40 years old who do not have social work.
How much does it cost to buy the two doses to complete the dengue vaccination in Corrientes? You have to wait 90 days between each dose and the total cost is $141,000, which represents almost half of an average state salary in the province.
In the case of state workers, active and passive, through their social work IOSCOR they have 50% in the purchase of each dose in a chain of pharmacies in Corrientes with branches throughout the interior and also in the city of Resistencia ( Chaco). With this coverage they only pay $35,000, which is an amount that ends up exceeding the bonuses (unified and reinforcement) that the Corrientes government pays every month.
The free vaccination that began next week occurred after the large dengue outbreak that is still ongoing in several cities in the province, including the provincial capital.
