Bogotá, April 23, 2024 (AmCham Colombia).- The Colombian American Chamber, AmCham Colombia, opened an office in Bucaramanga to strengthen support for Santander companies in the search for new internationalization opportunities and especially towards the United States market, the country’s main trading partner.
María Claudia Lacouture, president of AmCham Colombia, indicated that the moment the country is going through with an important need to reactivate the economy requires that Santander’s business community make the most of opportunities and in that sense “foreign trade and “Business internationalization contributes to that path.”
In terms of opportunities in the United States for Santander exports, the Colombian American Chamber, AmCham Colombia, has identified that Santander can increase its exports in products with significant demand in the United States such as lemons, passion fruit and panela and in manufacturing cotton pants, dresses cotton and synthetic fibers, skirts, undershirts, swimsuits, among others.
Likewise, Lacouture invited Santander businessmen to subscribe to the Pact for Opportunities for the Growth of Colombia, an initiative convened by AmCham Colombia to contribute to the economic growth of the country and promote a dialogue to generate economic development through opportunities. “Faced with this great challenge, the country’s associations and companies decided to continue betting on Colombia and continue contributing to generating economic growth through their commitment to continue identifying and taking advantage of opportunities.
