The debut of the company Coniferal on line 40 of urban transport in Córdoba garnered positive evaluations, as agreed by municipal officials, company directors and users who left their comments on different social networks. Now, the firm is evaluating further strengthening frequencies as they expect demand to increase significantly in the coming days.
The fact is that both the frequencies established every 11 or 12 minutes at peak times, plus the fleet of brand new Mercedes Benz buses were a balm for the users of that line who for months had been suffering from poor service, with few units breaking down. frequently.
Coniferal arranged 16 new buses to provide the service, doubling the amount it operated until this Thursday. “The line with these 16 units is working quite well, with full cars due to the poor service of the lines that run nearby, especially the northern area of Parque Liceo,” detailed from the company, which is in charge of corridors 1 and 6, in addition to line 30.
And they predict that demand will increase in the coming days: “If this was the beginning, next week will surely be more important.” For this reason, they are constantly monitoring user behavior, with the possibility of incorporating more units if the number of passengers finally grows.
The Secretary of Government, Rodrigo Fernández, stated: “We are very happy because we were able to meet the 16 Coniferal 0 km vehicles in corridor 4, on line 40. There were very good expectations from the people. The truth is that the new buses traveling through these streets fill us with a lot of enthusiasm.”
The official said: “We are going to continue working. This is the first step of a great plan of 150 groups that we are going to inject into the system. And, of course, those vehicles that we are releasing from the 0 km zones we are putting on other lines that need them.”
“Today we have felt relief and people are very hopeful about having good service,” Fernández remarked.
How the incorporation continues
The plan continues next week. New units will arrive for lines 43 and 45, for which the transfer is expected within a period of no more than 15 days. Then gradually completing the reinforcement of all lines of corridor 4.
The municipality assures that there will be 100 new units that Coniferal will incorporate in the next 90 days, which also hopes to be in charge of corridor 7.
On the other hand, the municipal company Tamse will receive 50 new buses to reinforce the service in the corridors that will be under its responsibility: 2 and 5.
