The president of the PRO at the national level, Mauricio Macridecided to carve in the provincial intern and the party intervened in Santa Fe. Through the electoral tribunal of that space, suspended the process that had its closing lists scheduled for next Tuesday and paused the bid between the lieutenant governor Gisela Scaglia and the Undersecretary of Federal Intervention of the Nation, Federico Angelini.

In response to a proposal raised at the time by the Scaglia sector, where they claim to be ready to go to the polls immediately, the electoral authorities of the PRO at the national level warned that the call for internal elections in Santa Fe shows irregularities that affect “the guarantees of transparency and publicity of the elections, attacking the institutional strengthening that they should generate.”

The space led by the lieutenant governor had objected “deficiencies” by the electoral court of the Santa Fe PRO, which is why it demanded that the national party authorities organize the internal process.

The electoral board of the PRO resolved to declare the nullity of everything acted by its Santa Fe counterpart regarding the call for internal elections, and the corresponding schedule, for not satisfying the minimum requirements established in article No. 179 of its organic charter or having complied with due advance notice. And it also alludes to non-compliance with article 153 of the national charter of that political force.

He also urged the provincial electoral board to shortly publish a new schedule of internal elections, which must first have the approval of the national board of directors of the PRO.

Likewise, the new electoral schedule must be announced in good time, as well as include all the dates of the stages of this internal process and their expirations.

Apart

A few days ago, a letter signed by 400 leaders and representatives of PRO Santa Fe who supported Scaglia’s nomination to preside over the party in the province sought to convince potential allies and internal rivals that the majority in the force founded by him was in that space. Macri.

The message was also addressed to the group led by Angelini, to which the current president of the party in Santa Fe, Cristian Cunha, belongs.

Previously, the internal negotiation between both sectors had paused, which is why the Santa Fe leadership was preparing to define the new party leadership through an internal one.
