A loud applause crowned the presentation made by the garden’s educational team. “Little Prince” from Quillota to the officials of the Regional Directorate of the JUNJI Valparaíso. Through the presentation of the educator Carol Roca and the technician Gloria Calderón, both accompanied by the Director of the campus Paola Espíndola, they reviewed the growth process that they have experienced as a group with the aim of strengthening pedagogical practices and promoting the exploration and learning of the toddlers.

This activity aims to strengthen the bond that exists between the garden and the various offices of the Regional Directorate, which are precisely support so that the pedagogical processes can be carried out properly. “I am very excited because through this exhibition we can see how all the processes we carry out here in the office come to fruition, this allows us to give a deep meaning to our work and remember that our focus is the learning processes of the boys and girls and “the well-being of school officials”, indicated the Regional Director, Elizabeth Alarcón Rojas.

This activity was part of the celebration of the institution’s anniversary. JUNJI is commemorating this week a significant milestone in its history, reaching 54 years of tireless dedication to the care and education of boys and girls. Since its creation under Law 17,301, signed by President Eduardo Frei Montalva in April 1970, the institution has become a fundamental pillar for thousands of Chilean families, offering well-treating development spaces for girls and boys throughout the country.

Elizabeth Alarcon highlighted the importance of this anniversary, noting that “Preschool education is crucial for the future of our society. It is in the first years of life where the foundations of the comprehensive development of our children are laid, and JUNJI has been a key actor in this process for more than half a century.”

In the Valparaíso region, 1,800 qualified and committed educators, technicians, and various professionals work every day to question and transform their pedagogical work, actively participating in continuous training processes. Thus, disciplines such as science, the environment, art and reading accompany the daily learning of our children, preparing them to be protagonists of their own development.

On this anniversary, JUNJI reaffirms its commitment to continue building, from childhood, a present and a promising future for Chile, where each girl and boy has the opportunity to develop their full potential from their first years of life.
