Four alleged members of the ‘Gulf Clan’ were captured in flagrante delicto and prosecuted, after an investigation carried out by experts from the CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office, in joint work with the Police.

Among those detained is alias Pablo, who would also be involved in recruiting for the illegal armed group, Francisco José Morelo Peñate of the ‘Clan del Golfo’, who carried out extortion and other violent actions in the north of the country.

Likewise, Jhonis José Cárdenas Estrada, alias ‘La Maquina’, was arrested; and Diego Alejandro Ramírez, alias Pablo, possible leaders of the organization in the region; Yulis Mercedes Corrales Buelvas, alias La Enfermera and Ever Luis Hernández Conde.

In the midst of the procedures, two firearms, 8 rifle supplies, 43 cartridges, four motorcycles, a USB memory, 8 pamphlets alluding to the criminal organization, nearly 200 consignment vouchers and other documents that account for the crime were seized from these people. of the threats and demands for money from merchants and farmers in Cesar and Magdalena.
