Cauca: 4 thousand students will benefit from free Internet

free Internet for four educational institutions in Popayán, Cauca and thanks to the Connected Schools program promoted by Claro Colombia as part of the company’s sustainability strategy.

Among the beneficiaries are the IE Metropolitano María Oeste, María Oeste at its Lomas de Granada headquarters, Francisco Antonio de Ulloa and the IE Bicentenario at its main headquarters, all in Popayán.

These connectivity efforts have already benefited more than 3,770 students and teachers in the city with completely free Internet in their technology rooms.

Maria Consuelo Castro, sustainability manager has given access to Free Internet to 229 locations of Educational Institutions and benefited nearly 300 thousand
students.

Colombia recommends to students and all inhabitants of Popayán and Cauca, the use and consultation of the virtual and free content available.

For two consecutive years, the Cup for Colombia has been held, in which nearly 264 boys, girls and adolescents from the towns of Padilla, Corinto, Santander de Quilichao and Miranda.

There, sport, education and technology are tools for strengthening values, teamwork and gender equality, outside and inside the box.

“Contributing to the improvement of education and the generation of opportunities is one of the purposes we have at Claro. We are convinced that connectivity and access are fundamental for the development of the country and for the transformation of lives,” said the Manager for Colombia.
