The appropriation of the ‘I Count for Santa Marta’ strategy by different foundations and corporations is one of the actions proposed by the rector Pablo Vera, in addition to the articulation to join forces and advance as a city.

The University of Magdalena continues to carry out activities and workshops in order to strengthen strategies for carrying out the projects stipulated in its plan towards the 500 years of Santa Marta.

The rector Pablo Vera met with institutions such as Tras La Perla, Pro Santa Marta Vital, Compromiso Magdalena, the Chamber of Commerce, among others, to join forces and try to ensure that the purpose of the 500 years allows us to advance as a city in the solution of structural problems.

Among the actions are carrying out activities to revive the sense of belonging of the inhabitants of Santa Marta, the rescue of history, traditions, instilling in children and young people a love for the city, in addition to recovering the quality of education.

The Tras La Perla Foundation, led by Isabel Vásquez Ángel, put on the table the initiative to form an executive committee for the 500 years of Santa Marta, to coincide with other organizations that have projects underway and reach agreements that benefit the entire community. community.

“We want to be support and technical support for the things that we know have to happen in the city, the whole issue of structural solutions for water and aqueduct. Today we begin to see the whole panorama and work meticulously,” explained Isabel Vásquez.

Raúl García is the president of the board of directors of Pro Santa Marta Vital and took advantage of this space to congratulate the directors of this House of Higher Studies for the serious work they have started and carried out from different areas.

The University of Magdalena, headed by rector Pablo Vera Salazar, extends the invitation to Samarians in all parts of the world who, through the ‘Yo Cuento Por Santa Marta’ platform, can propose different actions and projects to generate opportunities and grow as a city. .
