The soldier was traveling from Toribío to the Tacueyó sector.
The Army announced that in events that are being investigated, the professional soldier Noscue Largo Guiner Kevim, member of the Field Artillery Battalion No. 4 Colonel Jorge Eduardo Sánchez Rodríguez, was kidnapped by the Central General Staff of the FARC Dissidents in the department of Cauca.
The soldier was enjoying his operational rest cycle in the municipality of Toribío. “The incident is reported by a relative of the soldier, who states that he received a call from an unknown person, identified as a member of the Farc-EMC, warning him that his brother was kidnapped,” the Army said.
According to the soldier’s family, the events occurred during a trip made by soldier Noscue Largo Guiner, from Toribío to the Tacueyó sector, where he was kidnapped.
”The National Army categorically rejects and holds the FARC-EMC responsible for the life of our soldier, and emphasizes that this action is a flagrant violation of human rights and infringement of international humanitarian law. Complaints will be filed with the competent judicial authorities.”
“The institution stands in solidarity with the family of our soldier and through an interdisciplinary team from the Family Center, permanent psychosocial support will be provided.”
