The Institute of Audiovisual Arts through the Directorate of Audiovisual Development and Promotion, opens registration for the workshop of “Characterization and FX”, training for the training of makeup and hairdressing professionals in the characterization of film characters.
The workshop will be taught by Paula Riofrío Perea, who has worked in the audiovisual field as a makeup artist, hairdresser, hairdresser, FX director and theatrical styling. Among her productions in film and television, her work on the Star +, HBO, Disney and Netflix platforms stands out, among multiple other experiences in the field.

Makeup and special effects workshop
Modality of the makeup workshop for audiovisual productions
Through theoretical and practical classes, participants will learn the basic knowledge of camera makeup and learn details about the lighting effects and color filters that impact the makeup and hairstyles of characters. Likewise, they will delve into the operation of a production and the basic transformations to characterize an actor or actress.
It will have an intensive in-person modality, with a start date of May 13. The course will take place over four weeks of classes that will be held from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. ending on June 7. It is important that those interested consider the schedules and days of the course to give the opportunity to people who do have the time since space is limited. It is the second year in which this workshop is held in the province, due to the success of the first year, the IAAJ is committed to continuing to generate the training of specialists, this time in the makeup field, so that they have the tools to work in the audiovisual industry. It should be noted that those who participated in the initial level last year will have the opportunity to take the second part of the training.
