On the night of this Saturday, April 27, the Mayor’s Office and the Metropolitan Police of Ibagué, They visited several bars and nightclubs located in the Siete commune, in order to verify the intensity and sound limits.
“We are carrying out operations to establish the noise pollution of these establishments and thus guarantee peace of mind for the community. These actions have been a request from our Mayor”he indicated Francisco Espín, director of Justice.

Of the places visited, seven exceeded the loudness limits, some reaching 90 decibels, when what is allowed by the standard is 60 in residential areas.
“These actions are intended to make people aware of the importance of noise moderation. We recommend that citizens and merchants be able abide by the different rules and laws, in order to improve our coexistence and our security”held the Colonel Alexander Cendales.
