Citizens feel alarmed at the crime wave that is being unleashed in the city of Riohacha, selective homicides and constant robberies are the daily bread in the capital of La Guajira.

On the afternoon of Friday, May 10, on 13th Street and 14th Street in an ice cream parlor located in Simón Bolívar Park in the city of Riohacha, men aboard a black and blue Boxer motorcycle arrived and intimidated the present with a firearm.

In a video from security cameras in the sector, the moment in which these two subjects arrive at the ice cream parlor and the grill man on the motorcycle descends to intimidate people by taking their bags and cell phones was recorded.

“We are tired of the insecurity that exists in the city, robberies are constant, it is unfortunate that we cannot be calm in a place because one is afraid of being robbed, we demand that the authorities do their job well and guarantee security,” said one inhabitant of the area.
